Well the move finally happened! I say finally because it seems like we have been in the process for 4 months. Oh wait! We have!
I went to Vegas for Amber and Mike's wedding over the last weekend in July. Congrats again to them, by the way! When I got home Alan and the kids and the babysitter had tons of my house boxed up! I was like "Sweet! Less for me to have to do!" So the next day I'm looking around the house and there are like 5 toys in Huntor's room........**SIDE STORY: My little man has a photographic memory when it comes to his toys! He can tell you every miniature skateboard he has and where it is at. Not to mention all of the colors on it. He is very meticulous and detail oriented when it comes to his toys. And yes, he has a million toys!** OK back to the moving story...... so, after I see 5 things in Huntor's room, I'm thinkin' hmmmmmm. Then my mom takes the kids for the rest of the day so that Alan and I can do some packing, and he is headed to Williston. Then I start looking at the boxes that are packed....... and again I start thinking hmmmmmm. Candles packed with pictures and picture frames. hmmmmmm. So I say to Alan, "um, you know that like 90% of what we own is going into storage right now, right?" "So you can't exactly pack candles with pictures. The candles will melt and ruin all of the pictures." So he thinks for a minute and decides that maybe he should repack all of the boxes that he packed because he knows that there were candles in ALL of them! Ya!
I did develop just a bit of an attitude about that, but was mostly sad. It was a hard day for me. Then, we go to load the pickup for his trip to Williston. I look at one of the boxes that the sitter had packed, and I burst into tears!!! Finger paints packed with my yearbooks!!!!! I'm not thinkin' hmmmmmmm anymore. I'm thinkin' waaaaaaaa!! Not to mention the box weighed about 100 pounds and was huge! So my mom and I decide to spend the next TWO days repacking what had already been packed.
The second day of repacking, Alan's brother Ryan called and his wife Carina was going in. She was being induced that day. So we picked up our repacking the packing disaster and hit the road to Havre. We got a beautiful new niece that night. She is such a stinkin' cutie! So that was fun!
The rest of the next two weeks are a complete blurr! There was some more packing, more hmmmmmm, more waaaaaaaa, signing of papers to close on our house in the Dive (Glendive for those of you that don't know) and not alot of sleep at all! We were officially homeless as of the 15th. We were out the 13th so that I could have someone come clean and do carpets. We are stuck in a tiny little apartment for now. We close on our trailer (yep, you read right! Trailer house!! ha ha) on September 2nd.
Yes, we did decide against getting into a huge mortgage at first. We thought that starting your own business is enough, lets not add a large mortgage payment to it as well. So we agreed on this little trailer house. The first 2 days that we looked at houses up here, it was the cleanest! Seriously, how do people live like that!?!? I'm talkin' 2 or 300 thousand dollar houses that were filthy and stunk!!! UGH! Anyways, the kids are going to have to share a bedroom. Yes, we are the meanest parents in the world! Just ask our kids. To go from HUGE yard, huge jungle gym, tramp, a billion toys, pretty much their own floors in the house. To a trailer park and sharing a bedroom that is about the size of mom and dad's walk in closet in our old house....how could we???? They don't know this but it is just early paybacks for all the hell that they will be putting us through in the teenage years. ha ha =}
I have decided that I will keep you updated on the apartment drama throughout the next two weeks. It should be fun. Fun for you all to read about the marvelous things that I am going through! If I have left any major details out, just comment on my post and I'll try to inform you to the best of my ability.
Oh yes, but first. The business is doing great! Alan did not have his poop in a group as much as I wished when he quit Graco, but it turned out okay! He does hot shots on the side if he isn't working the HydroVac truck. So hot shots kept him pretty busy. He did work the truck on and off up until August 4th. Since then, he has been working for Enbridge Pipelines. The main company that he decided to go into business and buy the truck for. As of now it looks like he is booked out with them until mid-September. He is working and staying in Plentywood, MT this week. His dad has been helping him as it has been taking 2 people to run the truck.
I will try my hardest to get pictures on here tomorrow! We got some great pictures in Vegas. We had a great time, and some of those stories will stay in Vegas!! ha ha What do you expect! All the Shipman girls in Vegas together!?!?
Love and Miss you all and thanks for all your prayers! xoxo

Yay! You updated your blog! You should add pics of the apartment too so we can sympathize. :) When Z was born, we had one bedroom and mom came to help for 3 weeks. Good thing there was a futon for a sofa! You will not go as crazy as you think and it will make the trailer seem SO MUCH bigger! Miss you! :( Take care!
